Se dice que los Codex Futura eran aquellos Códices Mitológicos con lo que se podía predecir el futuro, supuestamente forjados en Stonehenge. Julio Cesar se hizo con ellos al vencer a los últimos ejércitos galos en la batalla de Alesia del año 52 AC y se los llevó a Roma.
Cinco siglos después, los Códices fueron tomados por el rey visigodo Alarico I durante su saqueo de la capital del Imperio Romano en el 410 DC, permaneciendo en manos godas durante siglos que los llevaron a la península Ibérica tras su conquista de la Hispania romana, donde se pierde su rastro para siempre.

The Codex Futura are said to be those Mythological Codices with which the future could be foretold, supposedly forged at Stonehenge. Julius Caesar got hold of them when he defeated the last Gallic armies at the Battle of Alesia in 52 BC and took them to Rome.
Five centuries later, the Codices were taken by the Visigothic king Alaric I during his sack of the capital of the Roman Empire in 410 AD, remaining in the hands of the Goths for centuries, who took them to the Iberian Peninsula after their conquest of Roman Hispania, where their trace is lost forever.
